Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Sourzer platform. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Use of the Service

As a candidate using Sourzer, you agree to use the platform in compliance with all applicable laws and not to:

Upload false, misleading, or fraudulent information in your CV or profile

Use the Service to harass, harm, or violate the rights of employers, recruiters, or other users

Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the platform or its AI matching algorithms

Share your account credentials with others or create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits

Use automated tools or scripts to scrape job listings or manipulate the matching system

Upload CVs or content that violates intellectual property rights of others

2. Candidate Accounts and CV Upload

When creating a candidate account, you must provide accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. By uploading your CV, you represent that:

The information in your CV is accurate, truthful, and up-to-date

You own or have the right to use all content in your CV

Your CV does not contain false qualifications, fraudulent work experience, or misleading information

You understand that Sourzer uses AI to extract, process, and optimize your CV data for job matching and ATS optimization

You grant Sourzer a license to use, process, and optimize your CV data to provide matching and tailoring services

3. Subscription & Payment for Candidates

Sourzer offers both free and paid subscription plans for candidates. Free plans include limited CV tailoring and job matches. Paid plans (Growth, Pro, Enterprise) are billed monthly or annually. By subscribing, you agree to recurring billing unless cancelled. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Prices may change with 30 days advance notice. Refunds are provided according to our refund policy.

4. Intellectual Property and CV Ownership

All content, features, and functionality of Sourzer (including AI algorithms, matching technology, and platform design) are the exclusive property of Sourzer. As a candidate, you retain full ownership of your CV content and personal data. By using Sourzer, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, process, optimize, and display your CV data solely for the purpose of providing job matching, CV tailoring, and related services. You may export or delete your CV data at any time.

5. Job Matching and Application Services

Sourzer provides AI-powered job matching services that connect candidates with opportunities. Important terms:

Job matches are recommendations based on AI analysis and are not guarantees of employment or interviews

Sourzer does not guarantee job placement, interview offers, or employment outcomes

You are responsible for verifying job postings, employer information, and application requirements

Sourzer is not responsible for the hiring decisions, practices, or policies of employers

Auto-apply features (when available) require your explicit consent and authorization

You may opt out of job matching or specific employer sharing through your account settings

6. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time through your account settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or conduct that harms the platform or other users. Upon termination, you may request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention requirements.

7. Limitation of Liability

Sourzer is provided "as is" and "as available." We are not liable for:

Job placement, interview offers, or employment outcomes

Employer hiring decisions, job offer withdrawals, or employment terms

Accuracy of job postings or employer information provided by third parties

CV optimization results or ATS compatibility guarantees

Indirect, consequential, or incidental damages arising from use of the service

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months, or $100 for free plan users

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sourzer, its affiliates, and employees from any claims or liabilities arising from:

False, misleading, or fraudulent information in your CV or profile

Your use of the Service or violation of these Terms

Your interactions with employers or recruiters through the platform

Any content you upload, including CVs that infringe on third-party rights

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict of laws principles. International candidates using Sourzer agree that these Terms apply regardless of their location.

10. Dispute Resolution

Disputes will first be attempted to be resolved informally through direct communication. Failing that, disputes shall be settled through binding arbitration in accordance with Nigerian Arbitration Law. The arbitration shall take place in Lagos, Nigeria, unless otherwise agreed by both parties.
